We believe all lives should be filled with health and well-being. That each person can have the knowledge to make the best and healthiest choices for themselves and their families. With access to care and services that make acting on these choices easy. And personal attention from people who pay attention, understand your frustrations and work to eliminate them. It means fixing things together because that’s the only way it can happen.
Catholic Health Initiatives offers expertise, convenience, resources and best in class care from a foundation of togetherness. To serve communities better, we’ve grown into one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the nation. And we’re not done yet. We currently offer care in 18 states across 99 hospitals, including two academic health centers, major teaching hospitals and 29 critical-access facilities; community health-services organizations; accredited nursing colleges; home-health agencies; living communities; and other facilities and services that span the inpatient and outpatient continuum of care. We connect agencies, communities and facilities with a goal of bringing everyone the care they need, wherever they need it.
There is nothing we can’t do together.

Championing those in need is deep in our roots. And has been for centuries. Catholic Health Initiatives began in 1996 to transform modern health care and promote healthy communities. But we stand on the shoulders of those caring ministries that have come before us; continuing a legacy of nurturing and strength.
At CHI, executive leadership is synonymous with community service. Executive and senior leaders, individually and collectively, are committed to our healing mission and uniquely positioned to bring the resources of over 93,000 passionate caregivers to deliver on it daily.
To continually champion the health of the people we serve, and for our own healthy future, our strategy is to excel in clinical and operational performance while advancing personal and community health beyond a traditional acute care focus.
Catholic Health Initiatives is a values-driven organization. Our commitment to community begins with living our core values and adhering to exceptional standards of conduct. It is the personal responsibility of each of us, and all of us, to behave ethically and appropriately.
