These additional initiatives are essential to our mission as a Catholic health care system.
Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) uses its financial resources in a manner that advances our mission and vision of promoting human dignity, social justice and healthy communities. Shareholder advocacy is a collaborative effort with other interested faith-based investors. Socially responsible investing activities include direct community investments, company dialogues, shareholder resolutions, and proxy voting.
CHI is committed to providing comprehensive, qualitative palliative care to persons with serious illness across the continuum of care. Such care begins at onset of chronic illness and holistically treats the person and family, caring for mind, body and spirit from diagnosis to end-of-life care. Our efforts include building awareness, providing education and advocating for necessary and appropriate public policy.
CHI seeks to preserve and promote our charitable purpose and to respond to the needs of the communities we serve through comprehensive community benefit and financial assistance programs. We continually strive to ensure our charitable purpose is not merely well-preserved, but lived daily in a meaningful and impactful way.
