Jewish, Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospitals Named Blue Distinction Centers

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kentucky designated Jewish Hospital and Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, Louisville, KY, as Blue Distinction Centers for knee and hip replacement. Jewish Hospital was also designated a Blue Distinction Center for spine surgery. They are the only hospitals in the region to receive these designations. The Blue Distinction designation may be awarded to medical facilities that have demonstrated expertise in the areas of bariatric surgery, cardiac care, complex and rare cancers, knee and hip replacement, spine surgery or transplants.
