Gene Woods, CEO of Saint Joseph Health System of Kentucky, and Kevin Lofton, President and CEO of CHI, joined Bruce Klockars, president of Saint Joseph - Mount Sterling (SJMS) in signing the final beam that will be placed atop the structure for the new SJMS facility in Mount Sterling, KY. Their signatures now appear alongside those from SJMS employees who signed the beam as a commitment to the future success and growth of the new facility. Construction of the 114,000-square-foot replacement hospital began in December 2009 and is scheduled to be complete in mid-summer 2011. In its new space, the hospital will be able to provide new and expanded services, and will feature all private patient rooms.
