Cliff Robertson, M.D., has been the CEO of Catholic Health Initiative’s Nebraska/ Southwest Iowa Division since February 2014. He brings the patient care perspective of a family practice physician to his role as senior vice president of CHI’s Divisional Operations. He has over 20-years of business leadership experience in both healthcare and as the chief executive officer of a private business franchise.
Dr. Robertson previously served CHI in a dual role as interim CEO of St. Luke’s Health System in Houston and as chief operating officer (COO) of CHI Franciscan Health in Washington State. Prior to 2009, he served as the President of the Franciscan Medical Group while a practicing family physician.
Dr. Robertson earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his medical degree from The Ohio State University, College of Medicine. He later received his master’s in business administration from Pacific Lutheran University. Dr. Robertson serves on various community and civic boards including The Geneva Foundation, Carena, Inc., CHI Health at Home, CHI’s Institute for Research and Innovation (CIRI) and the Omaha Chamber of Commerce. He is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Medical Education at Creighton University School of Medicine.
